Muslim World League Works Out Plans to Provide Needs of Refugees


(MENAFN- QNA) The International Islamic Relief Organization of the Muslim World League has worked out many new plans and programmes to meet the needs of refugees and the countries hosting them , particularly since statistics of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees show that the number had reached 50 million refugees in countries around the world.

In a press release issued today on the occasion of the World Refugee Day, which falls on June 20 every year, Secretary-General of the Organization Ihsan bin Saleh Tayeb said that such plans developed by the organization seek to alleviate the suffering of large numbers of children, women, elderly and disabled people who cannot cope with such difficult weather conditions.

He stressed the importance of doubling efforts of all international and regional organizations of a humanitarian nature to work together on the World Refugee Day to highlight humanitarian aspects to deal with the plight of these refugees.
