(MENAFN- QNA) Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah met here Sunday with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres on the UN efforts for aiding refugees namely those of Syria.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled and Guterres, currently on a visit to the country, talked about Kuwait's support for the international humanitarian agency and implementation of resolutions of the Third International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria, hosted by Kuwait in March.
Guterres expressed gratitude to the State of Kuwait for its major humanitarian role at the global level and its continuous coordination with the UNCR to alleviate hardships of crises-stricken peoples, namely the Syrians.
