(MENAFN- QNA) Saudi Ministry of Health stated in a statement that it recorded five confirmed positive cases of corona virus over the past week (June 07-13, 2015 in Hofuf and Turbah.
The Ministry confirmed that it will keep preparations as they are and that efforts shall go on with the cooperation of all parties, especially the cooperation of health workers who are the foundation and represent the main pillar to face the disease, according to Saudi press agency (SPA).
The Ministry showed that it checked 879 samples of virus Corona at its laboratories during the same period, as the number of Rapid Response Team's visits to combat health facilities' infection amounted to (6) visits, and the number of public health teams' visits to mixed positive cases amounted to (5), while the number of contacts of home-positive cases amounted to (57) and the number of visits made by the Ministry of Agriculture amounted to (1) during the same period.
The Saudi Ministry of Health confirmed the healing of (568) cases that were infected with Corona virus by 55.1% of the total number of confirmed cases numbered (1031).
Moreover, the Command and Control Center at the Ministry of Health continues its efforts around the clock by carrying out epidemiological monitoring and making sure the various government and private health facilities are commitment to application of procedures of infection control as well as the coordination with relevant government sectors and international health organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and Expertise Houses for the follow-up of the latest developments on Corona virus.
The Ministry also continues its efforts and fully coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture to carry out awareness campaigns on Corona virus in camels' gathering places and their owners and breeders who are in contact with them to be cautious and taking reasons for prevention when dealing with camels.
