Jordanian plane to airlift Jordanian students injured in Ukraine


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Jordanian plane staffed with a medical crew will today head to Ukraine to airlift home Jordanian students who were injured in Kharkov, to assure they receive medical treatment in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs announced on Sunday.

Spokesperson of the Ministry Sabah Rafi' said that in carrying out the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II to follow up on conditions of Jordanian citizens, wherever they are, and with the direct involvement of the prime minister, a private plane was ordered to fly Jordanian students from Ukraine to Jordan.

She added that the aircraft was equipped with a medical crew and medical equipment, provided by the Jordan Armed Forces' Royal Medical Services, noting that the aircraft will head to Kharkov in the afternoon today, where it will be received by the Jordanian cultural attaché in Kiev, who will coordinate the evacuation.
