Jordan- KRCS' humanitarian efforts for Syrian refugees extolled

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Chairman of the Jordanian Red Crescent Society Dr. Mohammed Al-Hadid extolled here on Sunday efforts made by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to deliver relief aid to the Syrian families residing in Jordan.

Al-Hadid said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the distribution of relief aid to 500 Syrian families in the city of Salt that the KRCS' efforts to aid the Syrian people have not stopped since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.

He added that the response of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent with regional and international efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people reflects its keenness in the human dimension, which allowed the society to be present in many areas around the world without looking at the differences of race, religion or ethnicity.

For his part, Head of the KRCS' delegation in Jordan Khaled Al-Zaid expressed to KUNA deep thanks to the efforts of the Jordanian Red Crescent through its cooperation and coordination with the Kuwaiti counterpart in the field of relief for the Syrian families in the various governorates of Jordan.

He added that the distribution of relief aid to the Syrian people comes as the holy month of Ramadan is approaching in order to ease their burdens.
