Kuwait- Health informatics conference kicks off at Dasman center


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The first conference on health informatics kicked off at Dasman Diabetes Center on Sunday with the presence of over 50 participants in the field and other doctors and specialists.

The conference aims to develop the electronic diabetes health system in Kuwait and means of using information technology to provide better services of diabetic patients, said the center's Director General Kazim Behbehani in a press statement.

The event will showcase the experience of local and international participants in health informatics, said Behbehani, adding that the conference will also include dialogue between academics to develop the field in Kuwait and the region.

Meanwhile, founder of Kuwait's health informatics network Dhari Al-Huweila noted that health informatics provides patients in different hospitals with electronic files for thorough follow ups, statistics and information on diseases and medical cases in the country, while also preventing errors that occur when using paper files.
