(MENAFNEditorial) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has been awarded a Best Practices Award from Cisco Systems Global (CISCO), for its data centre architecture. The award demonstrates the high quality standard for networks and information security applied by DEWA as part of its efforts to achieve the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to establish an effective and smart infrastructure. DEWA has previously received a Global Best Practices Award from Cisco Systems in 2013.
DEWA is the first government organisation to obtain this honour regionally, following evaluation by auditors from Cisco Systems. The review covers the mechanisms and criteria, including detailed audit policies, of data centre networks and information security at DEWA.
