(MENAFN- QNA) US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has met with Iraqi council of representatives speaker Saleem Al-jubouri.
Talks during the meeting focused on arming tribes and intensifying support to the Iraqi security forces through the increase of sorties intelligence and information in order to eliminate Daesh group.
According to a statement issued by Al-Jubouri's office, Iraqi Parliament Speaker will meet today in New York UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the United Nations Member States to discuss developments in Iraq and to demand support to his country on the security and relief levels.
