Saudi- Undue criticism
(MENAFN- Arab News) No country or organization has the right to interfere in the internal matters of any sovereign country. This is with reference to the report 'Riyadh flays meddling in Badawi case' (June 12). I fully support Riyadh's rejection of foreign interference in the case in question. Most of the undue criticism is coming from those countries that have no idea about the cultural and religious sensitivities of the Muslim world or to be more precise Saudi Arabia. Those who don't even know the basics of our religion are discussing the blasphemy laws.
Such attitudes give rise to misunderstandings and lead to clashes. Harmony can only be maintained if everybody understands and respects each other. I am sure people will start posting silly comments like 'we should then respect Daesh etc.'
Daesh is a terrorist organization using the name of Islam and Muslims. The entire Muslim world vehemently condemns these terrorists.
Anyway those who are criticizing Saudi Arabia over Badawi case need to understand the inherent religious sensitivities. They should try to understand these issues without any bias. Ehtisham Ahmed Riyadh
