Risers and fallers including Mporium Amerisur Galantas Gold Range Resources Lonmin

The company formerly known as Mopowered was higher after yesterday's change of name and announcement of two new members to the board. Amerisur (LON:AMER) up 9.8%. Chairman Giles Clarke hailed  a deal that will hook the company's Colombian project into the oil export network as a 'very major step forward'. Porta Communications (LON:TCM) up 9%.  Chairman bob Morton topped up this week and investors have seemingly folllowed his lead.   Fallers Galantas Gold (LON:GAL) down 11%. Investors used yesterdays announcement that it will open Northern Ireland's one and only gold mine for profit taking. Range Resources (LON:RRL) down 10%. Yet more profit taking after shares led hte risers following a resumption of trading on Monday. Lonmin (LON:LMI) down 7%. Threats of strikes from workers in South Africa sent investors running. Fears are that platinum miners could be next.   Below are some of the main news-driven movers at lunch Risers  Octagonal (LON:OCT) up 35%. The company signed an agreement to acquire all of Global Investment Strategy UK by way of a reverse takeover. Forte Energy (LON:FTE) up 25%. An update on its Kuriskova uranium deposit in Slovakia said an application had not been denied and was still being processed by authorities. Amur Minerals (LON:AMC) up 16.79%. Investors are stil riding last month's news that the company has secured and registered a licence for its Kun-Marie nickel project in Russia. Fallers Trap Oil (LON:TRAP) down 25%. Doh! The company said this morning it had no idea why its share price had risen before warning investors that it will run out of money in early July if it can't secure a viable funding solution. Best of the Best (LON:BOTB) down 21%. What goes up must come down. Some profit taking from yesterda'y big gains hurt the share price. Afren (LON:AFR) down 10%. Shares continue to drop after the company revealedit would use another 30-day grace period to delay a £7.7mln interest payment due the day before.     Here are some of the main news-driven movers in early deals.... RISERS Royal Mail (LON:RMG) up 1.24% after being the biggest laggard yesterday following news the government sold a 15% stake or 150mln shares overnight for  proceeds of £750mln. Trap Oil (LON:TRAP) up  a further 30% today after 91% gain yesterday. No news but the firm did release news earlier on Monday saying operations have started on the Nioble exploration prospect in the North Sea. Bonmarché (LON:BON) added almost 6% as it posted a 55% increase in pre-tax profit for the year just gone. FALLERS Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment (LON:BPTY) lost over 9% as it emerged two  shareholders plan to issue 50mln shares in the FTSE250 gaming group. "Whilst the bard was not party to the placing arrangements they are consistent with the Trustees' obligations to sell down their holdings before the end of October 2015.." it said. Petra Diamonds (LON:PDL) dropped over 10% as it told investors it anticipates lower revenue when it next reports annual results as average prices for selling its diamonds have come under pressure. Taylor Wimpey (LON:TW.) was also down today - 1.53% on no news though this week Citi cut its rating on the housbuilder to 'sell' from 'neutral' after a strong run from the shares.
