Five Palestinian Injured in West Bank

(MENAFN- QNA) Five Palestinians were wounded by live ammunition when Israeli occupation forces suppressed a peaceful march in West Bank village of Kafr Qaddoum calling for the main street of the village which has been closed three years ago in favor of Qadomim settlement which was forcibly built on the village's lands.

Coordinator of popular resistance in Qalqilya, Murad Shitaiwi said Israeli occupation forces used live ammunition excessively during the suppression of the peaceful rally, injuring five young men one of them seriously and causing dozens of villagers, including children, to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.

He added that Israeli forces mounted military barricades to close roads while media men and supporters were denied access to the area under the pretext that it was a closed military zone. The injured were taken to Rafidia hospital in Nablus through rough roads by private cars.
