(MENAFN- QNA) A spokesman for the Directorate of Civil Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jazan region, Major Yahya bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani said that at 13:10 PM on Friday, the civil defense received a report on the fall of a military projectile from inside Yemeni territory, next to a mosque at the village of Al-Attaya in Samtah of Jazan region, at the exit of worshipers after Friday prayers.
He was quoted by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as explaining that that the incident resulted in the death of a citizen and the injury of another, while the mosque suffered some damage.
He added that the necessary measures have been taken regarding such situation in accordance with the plans approved by the Civil Defense.
