2 blasts kill 2 civilians, wound 11 others in Baghdad

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Two civilians were killed and 11 others injured on Thursday when two explosive devices exploded in Baghdad, a security source of Baghdad operations command said.

An explosive device blew up in an area in southwestern Baghdad, killing a civilian and wounding six others, the source told KUNA, adding that ambulances rushed to the site to take the injured to nearby hospitals. Security forces imposed stric security measures at the site, it added.

The second blast took place near a cafe in Central Baghdad, killing the owner of the cafe and injuring five others, including a child, it noted.

Despite tight measures in Baghdad, it was targeted by some suicide attacks two weeks ago on hotels of Sheraton and Babylon as well as other attacks on gatherings of civilians and restaurants.
