Teen pleads guilty in U.S. court to providing material support to ISIL


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A 17-year-old from nearby Alexandria, Virginia, pleaded guilty on Thursday in federal court to providing material support to ISIL, and faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in August.

Ali Shukri Amin was accused of helping an adult travel to Syria, and that person then joined ISIL, law enforcement officials said.

The teen was also accused of passing messages between ISIL contacts, police said.
