Kuwait- Info. Min. leaves for Baku for European Games


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Minister of Information Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah has left for the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku to attend the opening of European Games due on Friday.

In pre-departure remarks, Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud, who is also Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said Kuwait's participation in the event comes at the invitation of Azeri President Ilham Aliyev.

Leading the Kuwaiti delegation, which comprises representatives from several ministries, the minister stressed the significance of the 2015 European Games which attracts nearly 6,000 athletes from 49 countries.

He reiterated Kuwait's interest in attending international events and promoting cooperative relations with brotherly and friendly countries as well as exchanging experience with them in all fields, mainly youth and sports ones.
