Australia's app Clipp announces USD4.69m expansion scheme

(MENAFN) Australia's app Clipp is set to expand its businesses through a new USD4.69 million investment scheme, inaugurating more bars and clubs in a move that might be followed by a takeover, the Australian reported

Mobile Embrace, the ASX-listed mobile payments firm, will be responsible for the financing process; the company has previously bought 31 percent of Clipp and is currently mulling over the option of taking over the remaining 72 percent.

"For some time we have been assessing opportunities in line with our growth strategy that can achieve far greater scale by being part of MBE. Clipp fits all these criteria and we believe the business has a great deal of unlocked value," the CEO of Mobile Embrace said.
