Kuwait Information Minister Praises Qatar's Efforts


(MENAFN- QNA) Kuwaiti Minister of Information Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah hailed on Wednesday the outcome of GCC information ministers' meeting, hosted in Doha.

Upon returning home from Qatar, Sheikh Salman who also headed Kuwait delegation to the meeting, expressed in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) his thanks and appreciation to the Emir of Qatar, the Qatari leadership and Qatar Media Corporation Board Chairman Sheikh Hamad bin Thamir Al-Thani for the successful organization of the meeting.

Sheikh Salman said that the ministers scrutinized all issues regarding GCC media cooperation at the meeting, particularly the development of joint GCC media, both traditional and new strategies to confront extremism and terrorism, praising efforts exerted by the General Secretariat for the success of the meeting and the achievement of its GCC unified objectives.

The minister explained that the Gulf ministers shared the same views over all topics that were discussed during the meeting.

Sheikh Salman also stressed the need to strengthen the role of the Gulf overseas media offices to support GCC foreign policy.
