Kuwait -'Huge Quantity Of Fish Dead'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Deputy Director General of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) Faisal Al-Hasawi affirmed that a huge quantity of dead fish washed ashore the beach facing Amiri Hospital, reports Al-Shahid daily.

He noted the phenomenon is considered a major setback to marine life which goes a long way to threaten the state's economy, stressing the importance to conduct extensive investigation to identify the cause of such a huge quantity of fish perishing and to prevent a recurrence. Meanwhile, the naval authority issued a decision banning fishing, sale or consumption of fish from the area where a huge quantity of fish had perished.
