Jordanian Police foils bid to smuggle 110,000 drug pills


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Two people were arrested for attempting to smuggle narcotics, the Public Security Department (PSD) said, Wednesday.

The PSD's media center said anti-narcotics agents were tipped off about people possessing contraband trying to smuggle it out of the Kingdom.

The police kept a close watch on the suspects and moved in as they set off in a vehicle, forcing them to pull over for a search. The officers discovered 110,000 illegal pills stuffed inside a spare tire.

The suspects were transferred to the concerned authorities for further legal action.
