(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Israeli soldiers shot dead a Palestinian in the
Jenin refugee camp, which lies in the north of the West Bank, early
Wednesday during an army operation in the area, according to
Palestinian medical sources.
Medics at Jenin hospital said Izzeddin Walid, 21, was shot in the
chest and died shortly upon arrival at the hospital, dpa reported.
Tge incident occurred after soldiers entered the camp to arrest
Palestinian activists and found themselves confronted by local
residents.
The soldiers responded with gunfire, killing Walid, said local
sources.
One person was arrested.
