Indian army destroys rebel camps in Myanmar


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Indian army destroyed rebel camps in Myanmar days after 18 soldiers were killed in an ambush in north-eastern
India, dpa cited officials and reports as saying Wednesday.

The army said it 'inflicted significant casualties' during the
operation on Tuesday.

'We are confirming that Indian armed forces, the special forces,
crossed over into Myanmar and carried out strikes on two militant
camps, annihilating the entire camps, and they have returned back
safely,' junior information minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore told
broadcaster NDTV.
