Third GCC Media Forum Launches in Doha


(MENAFN- QNA) The third GCC media forum accompanying the 23rd meeting for GCC ministers of information has kicked off Tuesday in Doha.

Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) Chief Executive Officer HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the opening of the forum along with Kuwaiti Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Salman Sabah Al-Salim Al-Sabah, Omani Minister of Information Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al-Hasani, Bahrain's Minister of State for Information Affairs Isa bin Abdulrahman Al Hammadi, in addition to a group of GCC media specialists and academics.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the forum, Youssef Ibrahim Al Malki, QMC head of media development, said holding the forum on an annual basis on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting aims to discuss issues that affect GCC citizens in addition to the regional and international challenges.

The 23rd meeting for GCC ministers of information starts Wednesday.
