Qatargas reiterates 'commitment to national development'

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatargas has recently held its 14th Annual CEO Forum for National Graduates and Trainees where nationals who are part of the company's "Training and Development Programme" meet with chief executive officer Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani.

Under the theme "Commitment to National Development", the event was led by the Qatargas Learning and Development Department, which facilitated separate sessions for graduates and trainees.

Qatargas CEO Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani engaged with the young nationals and urged them "to take ownership" of their own development and career path.

He encouraged them to develop their skills and take advantage of the opportunities provided to them in order to progress in their careers. Sheikh Khalid also wished them all the best in their career journeys.

The forum focused on the development of Qatargas' national graduates and trainees, and provided updates on the company's Qatarisation programme. It also provided participants the opportunity to share their experiences and highlight challenges they face. The feedback and suggestions provided will help further improve the training and development programmes on offer.

A major achievement in an effort to support national graduates throughout their Individual Development Programme (IDP) was the enhancement of the IDP Workflow System.

During the event, Sheikh Khalid presented awards to the top graduates and trainees for their outstanding performances in 2014. He also recognised the coaches who trained and mentored the national employees.
