(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Minister of Agriculture Akef Al-Zoubi is participating in the 39th session of the Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), being held in the Italian capital Rome.
Al-Zoubi will Tuesday deliver a speech at the session, when Jordan will be honored for achieving the first term of the millennium requirements which was to reduce by half the number of hungry people.
Jordan achieved the condition despite the difficult situation it faces, including the influx of 1.5 million Syrian refugees into the country and its implications for various service sectors in the Kingdom.
