(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Two Saudi soldiers were killed after mortar shells fired from Yemeni territories crushed in South Dhahran province in Aseer border region, the Saudi-led Joint Armed Forces command said Monday.
"During the early hours today a number of border posts in southern Aseer region witnessed military shelling from inside Yemeni territory," the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted a statement by Armed Forces command as saying.
The statement added the attack resulted in killing Private Ali Mohammad Mousa Al-Raithi from the National Guard and the Private Mohammad Ali Ahmad Hakmi from border patrol.
Last night, the Joint Armed Forces Command said that they intercepted a Scud missile launched by Houthi militias and supporters of the ousted Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh which targeted the southern Khamees Mushait city.
The Scud missile was the first incident that took place since the start of operation Decisive Storm.
