Heads of Arab security media bodies meet in Tunisia June 10


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Heads of security media departments in Arab Interior Ministries meet in Tunis on Wednesday to discuss a draft Arab strategy to confront terrorism.

The officials will be discussing how security media departments were dealing with social media as well as stepping up their performance to counter security challenges, the Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council said in a statement Monday.

The participants will exchange views over use of media against terrorism, it added.

The participants, it said, would also meet with representatives of Arab media organizations to discuss cooperation against extremism and terrorism, as well as addressing anti-social behavior.

The two meetings are expected to produce recommendations to be referred to the Arab interior ministers.
