(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, on Monday received Rony Araiji, Lebanon's Minister of Culture, and former Lebanese education minister, Hassan Diab.
The two sides had exchanges on Arab cultural issues and ways of promoting cultural development.
Sheikh Nahyan noted that the new strategy of the ministry empowers the youth to take an active part in the cultural movement and activities in the UAE and abroad.
He also noted that a draft law on antiquities was recently passed by the Federal National Council, FNC, and is pending final approval by the Cabinet.
Later, Sheikh Nahyan hosted a luncheon in honour of the Lebanese minister and his delegation.
Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Hasan Youssef Saad, Ambassador of Lebanon to the UAE, and members of the Lebanese Business Council, attended the luncheon.
