UAE- Supreme court hears 4 state security cases


(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The State Security District of the Federal Supreme Court today heard the prosecution in the case of N.M.A, an Emirati charged with spreading rumours that defamed the country and harmed its safety and security.

During the hearing, presided over by Justice Falah Al Hajeri, the prosecution asked for the maximum sentence for the defendant who denied all charges. The case was adjourned to 15th June.

Meanwhile, the court set 14th June as the date to summon M.F.A, a GCC national, who is charged with insulting the country's leadership, spreading rumours through a TV statement and endangering the lives of the state employees abroad.

In another case, the prosecution charged K.T.R, an Emirati citizen, with joining Al Nusra front terrorist group. The defendant denied the charges before the court adjourned the case to next week.

The court also adjourned the case of A.B.A, dubbed by the media as the 'Reem Ghost', to 15th June.
