(MENAFN- Arab Times) In accordance with Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK) rules and regulations and in our continuous efforts to provide the latest banking services, Ahli United Bank will be implementing the new Electronic Cheque Clearing System in the State of Kuwait as of June 14, 2015. The new system will improve customer experience by reducing the cheque clearing from three days to one working day on in the same day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Central Bank of Kuwait for taking this initiative that will benefit our customers.

In a press release on this occasion, Ahli United Bank stated: We are pleased to offer this new feature of image based cheque clearing for our customers. This will increase efficiency in the cheque clearing process and improve customer service. This will also reduce the likelihood of fraud and cheque loss.

In this respect, all cheques need to be standardized based on specifications set by the Central Bank of Kuwait. We urge all our customers to ensure they are using the new standard cheques currently being issued by the Bank. If any customer is unsure if their cheques are the new standard, please visit the nearest Branch of Ahli United Bank who will be able to advise you.
