(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Today has announced the sponsors for the first Qatar Today Business Excellence Awards, to be held at Hilton Doha on June 16.
"On our 10th anniversary of publishing the annual QT Top 10 list, we are holding the first edition of the awards, the start of a tradition that we are certain will get bigger and more vibrant in the years to come," said Frederick Alphonso, business head of Oryx Advertising Co, the publishers of Qatar Today.
Maserati is the main sponsor of the event. Maserati and Qatar Today have also announced the Maserati Qatar Today Young Achievers Award. This award will be given to an "influencer and role model who is pushing boundaries and changing perceptions in Qatar".
Charly Dagher, general manager of Alfardan Sports Motors, the official Maserati importer in Qatar, said: "We are pleased to support the first Qatar Today Business Excellence Awards and to present the Maserati Qatar Today Young Achievers Award. We are keen on being part of our community, encouraging young role models who can make a difference in the future of Qatar."
Amadeus, leaders in travel technology, is the support sponsor. "Amadeus Qatar is happy to support the initiative and hopes the award and recognition will boost and motivate the business community to encourage more participation," said Waqif al-Wahidi, general manager, Amadeus Qatar.
Gulf Marketing will help host the event.
