Qatar- Environment campaign launched


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) RedFox Events in collaboration with United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), under the patronage of Ministry of Environment is hosting a series of events, of which the pledge campaign marked the kick-off of the World Environment Day' 15 celebrations.

The campaign initiated on June 5 from 2pm to 10pm across multiple locations. The opening ceremony was held at Lagoona Mall and was inaugurated by Dr Muhsen Zayed Al Khayarin, Director of public relations and communications at the Ministry of Environment.

The response was very positive and included all age groups pledging to a safer and cleaner environment.

The campaign will be open to everyone and anyone where the audience/public will pledge to improve the environment by making changes in their day-to-day lives.

There will also be a poster designing competition and a sustainable product development competition in the coming months.

The closing ceremony will be held in October in which various corporates will be nominated and awarded based on their activities. To register, visit: qwed.redfox.qa.

Volunteers are approaching people and educating them about the different ways to protect the environment which are the four segments on the pledge board campaign.
