Nuhas Oman takes one more giant step to contribute in Nation Building

a leading low and medium voltage cable manufacturer based in Rusayl Industrial Estate has concluded a major contract with BP for supply of and for the nationally important Khazzan Gas Field project located in the South of Block 61 at the Ad Dhahirah Governorate of Oman.

This gas field was discovered in 2000 and is the biggest new upstream project in Oman. It is slated to begin production in 2017 and will produce natural gas and condensates. The field is expected to produce one billion cubic feet of gas and 25000 barrels of gas condensate on a daily basis. The field is estimated to contain proven reserves of about 100trillion cubic feet of natural gas and condensate Key environmental features of the project included water abstraction and treatment wastewater (including produced water) atmospheric emissions solid waste disposal drilling cuttings and mud disposal oil and chemical spills Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) and fracking.
