Jordanian Monarch Meets Belgian Foreign Minister


(MENAFN- QNA) Jordanian King Abdullah II met here on Sunday with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of Belgium Didier Reynders, who is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and ways to deal with challenges, especially efforts to combat terrorist organizations, and bring about peace and stability to the region and its peoples.
King Abdullah said Jordan is keen to develop relations with Belgium in various fields and strengthen partnership with the European Union.
King Abdullah called upon international and regional parties, including the EU and Belgium, to create conditions to revive the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis, and overcome obstacles that stand in the way of resuming negotiations, based on the two-state solution.
For his part, Belgian minister expressed his country's keenness to develop relations with the Kingdom, praising Jordan's role and King Abdullah's efforts to achieve peace and promote global security and stability.
