NATO's Assistant Secretary General Visits Tunisia


(MENAFN- QNA) Ambassador Thrasyvoulos Terry Stamatopoulos is NATO's Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy starts a three-ay working visit to Tunisia.

   The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that Stamatopoulos will meet during the visit with senior Tunisian officials in the framework of cooperation between Tunisia and the organization within the NATO's Mediterranean Dialogue.

Stamatopoulos will also take part in the NATO Public Diplomacy Conference under the theme of "NATO's Mediterranean Dialogue." NATO’s Mediterranean Dialogue was initiated in 1994 by the North Atlantic Council. It currently involves seven non-NATO countries of the Mediterranean region.
