Indian Intertek to go completely paperless in its operation

(MENAFN- KNN India) On the occasion of World Environment Day, Intertek a quality solutions provider to industries worldwide announced that it is in the process of making all its operation across India completely paperless.

Citing that going paperless in Testing Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry is very challenging, Managing Director, Intertek South Asia, Rajesh Saigal said that most of the entries for samples before testing, while testing and report generation is done on paper.

"We took a realistic look at our procedures and made a conscious decision to go paperless which would not only benefit the company but the environment as well," he said.
Now right from data entry to report generation and sharing, everything is done electronically. Because of which we are able to save over 300 reams of paper every month, he added.

Regional Director of Intertek's Softlines, South Asia, Manish Kumar mentioned that the initiative was very well embraced by their employees, partners and clients.

"Going paperless has made our operations more efficient, faster and cost effective. We initially started out with the Mumbai laboratory and because of its success, we are now extending this to all our other facilities in the country," he said.

Adverting that the initiative is the first step towards going green, Kumar said it is important that they are socially aware and ensure that their business is in no way contributing adversely to the environment or the society. (KNN/ST)
