QNA Organizes Training Course on Media and Crises


(MENAFN- QNA) A training course entitled "Media and Crises" kicked off at Qatar News Agency on Sunday in the framework of a series of courses organized by QNA Department of Foreign Media Affairs for the rehabilitation and training of Qatari cadres working in the media field.
Trainees from different ministries will attend the five-day course which will be lectured by Dr. Liqaa Makki, the news supervisor at Al Jazeera Net.
The training course includes lectures and workshops on the nature of crises, the causes and types, and methods of dealing with them. The sessions will discuss in detail the role of the media and public relations departments in various institutions in resolving crises in a professional manner within the context of comprehensive solutions carried out by the state or the institutions concerned.
The training courses, organized continuously by QNA, come in implementation to the Emiri decision NO. (51) of 2009, which entrusted QNA with the task of providing continuous media training to Qatari media persons in order to improve their performance through ongoing training and development programs.
