(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Firefighters had controlled a massive fire in a factory in Subhan area Saturday, the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) said.
KFSD's operations section was informed about a fire outbreak inside a 6,000 square meter factory in Subhan that contained insulating materials and petroleum derivatives, Colonel Khalil Al-Amir, Director of KFSD's public relation and media department, stated to KUNA.
The fire caused property damage, but no human casualties were reported, Col. Al-Amir said, adding that the directorate's investigation unit is currently gathering all necessary information to find out causes of the fire.
He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation of the efforts exerted by firefighters in protecting properties and lives, calling industrial and commercial properties landlords to follow security and safety instructions in order to avoid such accidents in the future, especially with current rise of temperature in the country.
