Mowasalat to represent Qatar transport industry in Milan


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) In collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Qatar Rail, Mowasalat is taking the lead to represent and showcase the transport industry of Qatar at the 61st UITP World Congress being held in Milan from June 8 to June 10.

Since 2005, Mowasalat is a member of the International Association of Public

Transport (UITP).

"Our participation in the UITP Congress and Showcase will be a significant opportunity to interact and share ideas and experiences with leaders in the industry," said Khalid Al Hail, Mowasalat's Chief Executive Officer.

Qatar Rail CEO, Eng Saad Al Mohannadi will be speaking in the MENA session to present some of the company's projects in pipeline. This session will be chaired by the Minister of Transport and chairman of UITP MENA HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti.

Mowasalat and Qatar Rail will showcase their products, services and future projects for the growth and development of Qatar's transport network.

Engineer Ali Bahzad, Director of the Taxi and Limousine Department at Mowasalat and UITP MENA Board member will present a paper titled "Taxi franchise programme in taxi industry in Qatar" in a session titled "trends and strategies in taxi sector".

UITP is the international network for public transport authorities and operators, decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry. It is a platform for worldwide cooperation, business development and the sharing of know-how between its members worldwide.
