Commercial Bank employees undergo training on first aid in Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Commercial Bank employees have completed training on cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other first aid skills to prepare them for emergency situations.

All Commercial Bank employees finished the 46 three-hour workshop sessions delivered by the Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Hamad International Training Centre at the Commercial Bank Plaza and Grand Hamad branch.

During the workshops, participants were given a demonstration of resuscitation in the event of cardiac arrest and other first aid measures covering different types of trauma like fractures, burns, suffocation, bleeding, wounds, and poisoning.

Commercial Bank executive general managers will nominate one of their team members who attended the workshop to join the Hamad International Training Centre for advanced training and to be officially CPR-certified.

The initiative aims to raise employees' awareness about safety and health during emergency situations. The training will enable Commercial Bank employees to perform first aid when necessary, both in the workplace and outside, as part of the bank's Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi said: "Commercial Bank actively supports initiatives that contribute positively to the health and well-being of the Qatari community, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. First aid training saves lives both inside and outside the workplace and forms essential knowledge for all good citizens."

Commercial Bank Chief Human Capital officer Sharoq al-Malki added, "First aid training is a valuable life skill and Commercial Bank employees are now equipped to make a difference in an emergency as a result of this educational initiative."
