850.000Palestinians in Occupied Territories Arrested Since 1967


(MENAFN- QNA) Since 1967 until mid-April 2015, Israeli occupation forces have arrested around 850.000 Palestinians from all strata and sectors of the society, according to Figures from PLO Committee of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs 85.000 of them, have been arrested since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Intifada in 2000.

Currently, there are over 6.500 Palestinians prisoners in Israeli occupation jails.

Among them: 24 women, nearly 200 children, about 500 administrative detainees -without charge or trial-, and 480 sentenced to life.

During 2014, Israel jailed 6.059 Palestinians, among them 1.266 children and 112 women.

Since the beginning of this year, Israeli occupation has already kidnapped more than 1.000 Palestinians.

Since 1967, 206 Palestinian political prisoners have fallen martyrs in occupation jails due to torture, execution after detention or medical neglect.
