Tunisian Army Discovers Two Camps of Militants in Kasserine


(MENAFN- QNA) Tunisian army announced that it has discovered two camps of militants in Mount Salloum after a sweeping operation in Kasserine province, state news agency TAP reported.

During the operation, army units seized weapons and ammunition, grenades, binoculars, night vision goggles, computer equipment, photovoltaic panels, medicines, mobile phones, SIM cards, two national identity cards, a passport and food.

The militant groups holed up in the camps were forced to leave as a result of operation, Lieutenant-Colonel Belhassan Oueslati, spokesman of the Ministry of Defense, said.

"The national army will continue sweeping Mount Chaambi to clean it up from these terrorist groups," he added.
