Axiom Mining (ASX:AVQ) is continuing with development activities at its Isabel Nickel Project following the conclusion of the related hearing in the Court of Appeal of Solomon Islands.

The Court of Appeal has reserved judgment and will notify the company when the judgement is due to be delivered.

The company plans to commence exploration on San Jorge Island later this year.

Isabel is considered to be one of the largest nickel laterite deposits in the Pacific with the company targeting the establishment of a DSO operation by late 2015.

The project has a historic non-JORC Resource estimate of 159 million tonnes at 1.045% nickel and 0.07% cobalt.

Recent drilling by Axiom has discovered more high-grade nickel which will contribute to the evaluation of a maiden JORC resource for Isabel in the second half of 2015.
