The international community has to shoulder its responsibility for ending the ordeal of the Palestinian refugees and ensuring decent life for them, Al-Araby said in a statement on Thursday on the 65th anniversary of the is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
He appreciated the efforts being made by the UNRWA and called for ensuring the necessary funding for its activities in the occupied Palestinian territories and neighboring countries.
Al-Araby also paid tribute to the refugees for their steadfast commitment to their right to return home pursuant to the UN General Assembly Resolution 194 for 1949 and all relevant UN resolutions.
