UAE's tourism records USD22.59b transactions in 2014


(MENAFN) The tourism sector of the United Arab Emirates recorded 550 million transactions in 2014, accumulating a total of USD22.59 billion, according to Network International, Arabian Business reported.

The spending tracking company noted that the United States was the highest contributor with 21 percent in terms of spending-per-stay in the region. As for Russia, the figures continue to decline.

Nonetheless, spending by tourists to the UAE has increased by 5 percent in the first quarter of this year, with an outlook that remains positive for posting decent gains in the near future.
