(MENAFN- QNA) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here today with speaker of the President of the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies Eduardo Cunha and his accompanying delegation.
President Abbas briefed the Brazilian official on developments in the Palestinian territories and the political process which came to a deadlock due to the Israeli intransigent policy and its rejection to implement the international legality's resolutions.
During the meeting, President Abbas also confirmed that the Palestinian side fulfilled all commitments necessary for the success of the peace process on the principle of the two-state solution to establish the independent Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital, adding that the persistence of Israel to continue the settlement policy and to reject the two-state solution's principle frustrated all efforts made by the international community to revive the political process.
