Jordan takes part at International Labor Conference


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) A Jordanian delegation, headed by Labor Minister, Nidal Qatameen, took part in the International Labor Conference meetings in Geneva.

The delegation comprised three substantive stakeholders - the government, non-governmental organizations and employees and employers.

In a statement, Qatameen said Jordan needs international support and a regular communication channel with international institutions to enable it to deal with the Syrian refugee crisis and continue providing them services, in addition to taking advantage from various countries' expertise in confronting economic and social problems, including, poverty, unemployment and child labor.

The conference is annually convened in Geneva, with 4,000 delegates representing 185 countries participating in the event.
