Ayyan Ali case investigation officer killed

Rawalpindi: The investigation officer in Ayyan Ali’s money laundering case was on Wednesday gunned down for allegedly getting his hands on key evidences which were to be presented in court.

Customs inspector Chaudhry Ijaz was shot three times by unidentified motorcyclists in Qasimabad.

According to the eyewitnesses and the affected family the miscreants tried to abduct Ijaz first and opened fire when he resisted.

Ijaz was taken to the Benazir Bhutto Hospital where he succumbed to the wounds.

According to sources the officer possessed certain key evidences and smuggled currency which he was to file in the Customs Court.

Meanwhile the special Customs Court in Rawalpindi denied super model Ayyan Ali’s bail application after hearing arguments from both sides on Wednesday.
