Greek PM holds crucial talks in Brussels on debt crisis

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras was holding crucial talks with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels Wednesday night to clinch a deal on a new bailout to pay its international creditors.

The two men shook hands for the cameras but made no statements to journalists.

Greece has to repay 300 million euro by Friday to the International Monetary Fund.

The country's 240-billion-euro bailout programme runs out on 30 June and it has to make a total of 1.6 billion euros in payments to the IMF this month. But Athens is finding difficult to find the money to repay its debts.

Western media speculations are again growing that Greece will soon become bankrupt and leave the eurozone.
