KSE posts marginal gains in early trades in week's last session


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Main indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) climbed in early trades on Thursday, with the benchmark reading 6,313, edging upward by 0.15 point.

Weighted index also inched up by 0.27 as well as Kuwait-15 index, gaining 1.39 points.

Value of traded shares reached KD 1.91 million, volume turnover 21.6 million, done in 431 deals.

The KSE Wednesday's session closed with the three main indexes posting gains. Benchmark read 6,313 up by 14.75 points, likewise the weighted index, putting on 1.21 points and Kuwait-15, 4.17. Value of traded shares reached some KD 18.2 million, volume turnover approximately 216.6 million, done in 4,395 deals.

The local bourse has been largely gripped with a lackluster atmosphere, amid overdue financial revelations by some listed companies.

Market value of the KSE, one of the main regional bourses, has been estimated in the range of KD 28 billion.

(USD is being traded at KD 0.302).
