Shuttle Dragons Win KBL May Playoff


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Shuttle Dragons emerged champions of the recently concluded KDD - Kuwait Badminton League - May playoff defeating ACME Acers. The May playoff which was played over 4 days (May 14, 15 and 16 and May 25) was inaugurated by Waleed, Marketing Manager- KDD.

The medals and trophies for February playoff were given away by the dignitaries present on the day of inauguration.

Team Lions, champions of the February playoff received the medals and trophy from Waleed.

The runners-up for February playoff Shuttle Dragons received their medals from Satheesh, Regional Sales & Merchandising Manager of KDD.

The Thanjai Ninjas and Super Smashers semifinalists of February playoff received their medals and trophy from Tareq Aleshi, General Manager - Arwa Gulf and Binu Vice-President of ACME

In the May playoff, Shuttle Dragons thrashed ACME Acers by 5 sets to one. The final had all the ingredients of a cracker contest.

Earlier in the semifinals Shuttle Dragons beat Rainbow 5- 1 and ACME Acers beat Thanjai Ninjas 4-2

Captain Ali Al Marri, President Kuwait Badminton Federation gave away the medals and prize-money for the winners, runners-up and semifinalists of the May playoff.

KBL-2015, which is being held in 3 playoffs (February, May and September) is poised for a grand finish as 5 teams out of 8 have a great chance of capturing the overall championship.
